Sweet & Savoury Apricot Chicken


This Sweet & Savoury Apricot Chicken is the perfect balance of sticky sweetness and rich, savory flavor. Juicy chicken thighs are baked until tender, then glazed with a glossy apricot sauce infused with garlic, soy sauce, and a hint of tangy vinegar. It’s an easy family dinner that tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen!

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Prepare the chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Sear the chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Make the sauce:
In a bowl, mix together apricot jam, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Bake:
Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken thighs. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is thick and sticky.

Glaze and serve:
Spoon the sauce over the chicken before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
