This classic marinade blends savory soy sauce, rich olive oil, tangy Worcestershire, bright lemon juice, and just a touch of brown sugar for perfect balance. It penetrates the meat beautifully, making every bite juicy, flavorful, and unforgettable. Ideal for grilling, pan-searing, or broiling.
Ingredients
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh is best)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and brown sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Place your steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
Pour the marinade over the steaks, making sure they are well coated on all sides.
Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably 4–8 hours for maximum flavor. Turn the steaks occasionally if possible.
Remove the steaks from the marinade and let excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
Grill, pan-sear, or broil the steaks to your desired doneness.
Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips for Best Results
Works best with ribeye, sirloin, New York strip, or flank steak.
Don’t marinate longer than 24 hours to avoid overpowering the meat.
Pat steaks dry before cooking for a better sear.
