Ingredients
For the Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup cold milk
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried parsley
Pinch of salt
Method of Preparation
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and paprika.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until evenly coated with the dry ingredients.
Pour in the cold milk and melted butter, then stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each biscuit.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
While the biscuits are baking, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, dried parsley, and salt for the topping.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Serve warm and enjoy that irresistible restaurant-style flavor!
