Creamy Garlic Butter Sausage & Broccoli Rotini Pasta


A Classic dish that combines savory Italian sausage, tender broccoli, and a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce, all tossed with rotini pasta for a comforting meal.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or sweet), sliced or crumbled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Fresh black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1½ cups broccoli florets
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Directions:

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and Italian sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Add paprika and black pepper to taste.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add Broccoli: Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender and bright green.
  6. Combine: Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning until melted and well combined.
