
Ingredients
For the crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons melted butter
For the cheesecake layer:
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
For the KitKat topping:
8–10 KitKat bars (broken into pieces)
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or melted chocolate for drizzling
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare the crust
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined 9×9-inch baking pan.
Make the cheesecake filling
In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.
Bake the cheesecake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
Add KitKat topping
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Arrange the broken KitKat pieces evenly over the top.
Chill to set
Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or overnight for best results.
Cut and serve
Lift the cheesecake out of the pan using the parchment paper.
Cut into bars and serve.
Optional: drizzle melted chocolate over the top for extra indulgence.
