Masala Fish Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

2 fish slices (like kingfish, surmai, or salmon)

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp black pepper powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1 tbsp lemon juice

Salt to taste

1–2 tbsp rice flour or semolina (for crispy texture)

2 tbsp oil (for shallow frying)

Method:

  1. Clean and pat dry the fish slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the spices with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt to form a thick paste.
  3. Apply this masala generously on both sides of the fish. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Optionally, coat the fish lightly with rice flour or semolina for extra crispiness.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Place the fish slices and shallow-fry on medium heat.
  6. Flip once golden and crisp. Cook the other side until done.
  7. Drain on kitchen paper. Serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
