Keto Almond Halwa (Low-Carb & Sugar-Free Dessert)


Keto Almond Halwa is a rich, aromatic, and comforting dessert inspired by traditional halwa, but made completely low-carb and sugar-free. This healthy version is packed with the goodness of almonds, healthy fats, and warm spices, making it perfect for anyone following a keto or low-carb lifestyle. Despite being keto-friendly, it has a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a luxurious nutty flavor you’ll absolutely love.

Ingredients:
1 cup almond flour (fine, blanched)
3 tbsp unsalted butter or ghee
¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup powdered erythritol (or any keto sweetener, to taste)
½ tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp rose water or vanilla extract (optional)
A pinch of saffron strands (optional)
Sliced almonds or pistachios for garnish

Method of Preparation:
In a non-stick pan, melt the butter or ghee over medium-low heat.

Add the almond flour and roast gently, stirring continuously, until fragrant and lightly golden (about 5–7 minutes).

Slowly pour in the almond milk while stirring to avoid lumps.

Add the powdered sweetener, cardamom, saffron, and rose water (if using).
Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.

Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with sliced nuts.
