Cozy, comforting, and almost effortless—this is the kind of recipe made for lazy snow days. Tender chicken slowly cooks in a creamy, slightly sweet, slightly salty sauce while you stay warm on the couch. Just add a few simple ingredients, let time do the work, and come back to a rich, crowd-pleasing meal that tastes like you tried way harder than you did.
Ingredients
2 lb (900 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, cut into cubes
½ cup chicken broth
¼ cup honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
Salt, to taste

Instructions
Add the chicken to the bottom of a slow cooker.
Top with cream cheese, spreading the cubes evenly over the chicken.
In a small bowl, mix chicken broth, honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and paprika.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and cream cheese.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.
