Cheesy Stuffed Meat Pizza (Ultimate Comfort Slice)

Ingredients
For the Dough:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp instant yeast
1 ¼ cups warm water
3 tbsp olive oil
For the Meat Filling:
400 g (14 oz) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp paprika
½ cup pizza sauce
For the Topping:
1 ½ – 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Pepperoni slices
Fresh tomato slices
Fresh basil, chopped
Extra pizza sauce (optional)

Preparation Method

1️⃣ Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until soft and elastic (about 8–10 minutes).
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2️⃣ Cook the Meat Filling
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Stir in pizza sauce and cook for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.

3️⃣ Assemble the Pizza
Preheat oven to 220°C / 430°F.
Divide the dough into two portions.
Roll out the first portion and place it in a greased deep pizza pan.
Spread the meat filling evenly.
Add a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
Cover with the second rolled-out dough and seal the edges well.

4️⃣ Add Toppings
Spread a little pizza sauce on top.
Add mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and tomato slices.

5️⃣ Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh basil.
