Cucumber Cream Cheese Sandwiches

Description:
Cucumber Cream Cheese Sandwiches are light, fresh, and elegant bites that are perfect for afternoon tea, brunch, picnics, or as a quick snack. Crisp cucumber slices are paired with smooth, creamy cheese and soft bread, creating a refreshing sandwich with a delicate flavor. Simple yet classic, these sandwiches are always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:
1 long English cucumber, thinly sliced
8 slices white or whole wheat bread
½ cup cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon fresh dill or chives, finely chopped (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Butter or mayonnaise (optional, for spreading)

Method (Preparation):
In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with chopped dill or chives, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

If desired, lightly spread butter or mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice to help prevent sogginess.

Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the bread slices.

Arrange the cucumber slices in a single layer over half of the bread slices.

Top with the remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down, to form sandwiches.

Trim off the crusts if desired, then cut each sandwich into halves or small triangles.

Serve immediately or chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for extra freshness.

Perfect for tea parties, baby showers, or a refreshing summer snack!
