Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for flavor, or lean for a lighter dish)
1 small onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
12 oz (340g) rotini pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Sauté the Onion and Garlic: Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine: Add the cooked rotini to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the garlic Parmesan sauce and beef mixture.
Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy this creamy and flavorful dish!
