
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken thigh (boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 purple onion (cut into quarters)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice wine
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch (or tapioca starch)
- Sel, poivre noir moulu
- Green Onions
How to make it:
- Marinate the chicken: mix the chicken with rice wine, cornstarch, a pinch of salt and black pepper → let sit for 30 minutes.
- Making the sauce: mix soy sauce + oyster sauce + sugar + a pinch of black pepper + a pinch of water.
- Heat skillet, add cooking oil and fry the chicken until slightly golden brown.
- Remove the chicken, add the onions and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour chicken in skillet, add sauce mixture, stir well until chicken is seasoned.
- Sprinkle green onions, stir well for another minute, then turn out the fire.
Finished product:
The chicken is tender and flavorful, the crust is slightly crispy, the onions are sweet and fragrant. The sweet and salty sauce is harmonious, eaten with hot rice, it’s extremely delicious!
