Ultimate Surf & Turf Platter (Steak, Lobster & Seafood)


Juicy steak, buttery lobster, tender scallops, and garlicky shrimp — this surf & turf platter is the definition of luxury comfort food.
Perfect for special occasions, date night, or when you want a restaurant-style dinner at home.

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

For the steak

1½ lbs ribeye or filet mignon

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp butter

1 clove garlic, smashed

For the lobster

2 lobster tails

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp lemon juice

Paprika, to taste

For the shrimp

12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined

1 tbsp butter

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt & pepper

For the scallops

8–10 large sea scallops

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt & pepper

For the asparagus

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt & pepper

Optional garnishes

Fresh parsley or chives

Lemon wedges

Garlic butter for serving

👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Steak

Bring steak to room temperature and season generously with salt and pepper.

Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat with olive oil.

Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare) or to desired doneness.

Add butter and garlic, baste for 1 minute.

Rest steak 5–10 minutes, then slice.

2️⃣ Prepare the Lobster

Cut lobster tails lengthwise.

Brush with melted butter, lemon juice, and paprika.

Broil at 425°F for 8–10 minutes, until opaque and lightly charred.

3️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic and shrimp, season lightly.

Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and juicy.

4️⃣ Sear the Scallops

Pat scallops completely dry and season.

Heat olive oil in a hot skillet.

Sear 2 minutes per side until golden crust forms.

5️⃣ Roast or Sauté Asparagus

Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roast at 400°F for 10–12 minutes or sauté until tender-crisp.

How to Serve

Arrange steak slices in the center of a large platter.
Surround with lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, and asparagus.
Finish with fresh herbs, lemon wedges, and extra garlic
