
Ingredients:
For the Kebab:
1 lb ground beef or chicken
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Skewers (wooden or metal)
For the Onion Marinade:
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 small onion, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Ketchup Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, grated onion, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
Combine ground meat, chopped onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add half of the marinade to the meat mixture and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Shape the meat mixture onto skewers and preheat the grill or stovetop pan.
Grill the kebabs over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked.
For the sauce, mix ketchup, vinegar, sugar, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
Serve the kebabs with the homemade ketchup sauce.
