Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tbsp red food coloring
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
30 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

Combine the dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Form the dough balls: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Once rolled, dip each ball into the powdered sugar, coating it evenly. Place the cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are set. The center will still be soft, but the cookies will firm up as they cool.

Add the Hershey’s Kisses: Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, gently press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Enjoy these Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies with a glass of milk or as a festive treat for any occasion!

Tips:
Be careful not to overbake the cookies, as they can become too dry. The center should still be soft and chewy when you remove them from the oven.
You can use white chocolate or milk chocolate Hershey’s Kisses for a different twist on the classic.
To make these cookies even more festive, you can sprinkle a little extra powdered sugar over the top before serving.
Enjoy your Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies—they’re a perfect combination of soft, rich red velvet flavor with a sweet Hershey’s Kiss center!
