1 pound breakfast sausage
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Fresh chives for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
Mix the Batter: In a large bowl, combine the Bisquick baking mix, milk, eggs, cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until just combined.
Fill the Muffin Tin: Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
Bake the Muffins: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Garnish and Serve: Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes in the tin before transferring them to a wire rack. Garnish with fresh chives if desired. Serve warm and enjoy these hearty breakfast muffins!
