Ingredients:
For the Beef Brisket:
1 beef brisket (size based on preference, typically 3-5 lbs)
For the Dry Rub:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
A pinch of celery seed
1 tsp chili powder
For the Sauce:
1/8 cup A1 sauce
1/2 tsp mustard sauce
1 tbsp liquid smoke (optional)
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Preparation:
Prepare the Dry Rub: In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, celery seed, and chili powder. Mix well.
Season the Brisket: Pat the beef brisket dry with paper towels. Rub the dry seasoning mixture all over the brisket, ensuring it is evenly coated.
Prepare the Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the A1 sauce, mustard sauce, liquid smoke (if using), chili sauce, ketchup, cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combined.
Slow Cook the Brisket: Place the seasoned brisket into the slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the brisket, making sure it is fully covered.
Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat. Let the brisket cook for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender and fully cooked through.
Shred and Serve: Once the brisket is tender, remove it from the slow cooker. Let it rest for a few minutes, then shred the meat using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker to soak up the sauce before serving.
Serve your slow-cooked brisket with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or a hearty vegetable dish. Enjoy!
