Ingredients

3 large eggs

½ cup eggnog

1 dash of salt

1 splash of vanilla extract

6 slices Trenary Cinnamon Toast

Butter, for frying

(If using regular bread, reduce soaking time to 1 minute per side.)

Instructions

Prepare the Custard Mixture
In a baking dish, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, salt, and vanilla until smooth and well blended.

Soak the Trenary Toast
Place the slices of Trenary Cinnamon Toast into the mixture.
Let them soak for 30 minutes on each side so they absorb the creamy eggnog flavor.

Note: If you use regular bread instead of Trenary Toast, only soak each side for 1 minute, otherwise the bread will fall apart.

Cook the French Toast
Heat a generous amount of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry each soaked slice until golden brown on both sides.

Serve and Enjoy
Serve warm with a dusting of cinnamon, powdered sugar, maple syrup, or whipped cream.
After one bite, this festive French toast will become a Yooper Holiday tradition in your home!
