How to prepare Homemade Double Cheeseburger

Ingredients

  • Ground beef, 500 g, 80% lean
  • Salt, 1 tsp
  • Black pepper, 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp
  • Onion powder, 1/2 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese slices, 4
  • Burger buns, 2
  • Lettuce leaves, 2
  • Tomato, 1, sliced
  • Pickles, 4–6 slices
  • Ketchup, 2 tbsp
  • Mustard, 1 tbsp
  • Butter, 1 tbsp, for toasting buns

Instructions

  1. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into thin patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar on each patty during the last minute to melt.
  3. Lightly butter burger buns and toast in a pan until golden brown.
  4. Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato slice, 2 patties with cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, top bun.
  5. Press lightly and serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Tips: For extra flavor, brush patties with a little Worcestershire sauce before cooking or add caramelized onions.
