Cranberry Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups fresh cranberries (about 1 package)
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped (optional, adjust to heat preference)
1 medium orange, peeled and diced
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon honey (or sugar, for sweetness)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cranberries:

Rinse the cranberries thoroughly. If you have a food processor, pulse the cranberries a few times until they’re roughly chopped, but not pureed. If you don’t have a processor, chop them by hand or mash them lightly with a fork.

  1. Combine the Ingredients:

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the chopped cranberries, green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
Add in the diced orange and lime juice.

  1. Sweeten and Season:

Stir in the honey (or sugar), salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust sweetness or seasoning if desired.

Cover the salsa and refrigerate for at least an hour, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to meld together.

Adjusting Spice Level: If you prefer a milder salsa, omit the jalapeño or use a small amount. For extra heat, you can leave some seeds in or add a bit of cayenne pepper.
