
A luxurious surf-and-turf dinner featuring perfectly seared steak slices, juicy garlic-butter shrimp, and tender roasted asparagus. Finished with a vibrant herb-garlic butter, this dish is rich, fancy, and surprisingly easy to make at home.

For the Steak
1 ribeye or sirloin steak (1β1.5 inch thick)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
Β½ tsp black pepper
Β½ tsp garlic powder
For the Garlic Butter Shrimp
12β15 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Salt & pepper
For the Roasted Asparagus
1 bunch asparagus
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper
Herb Garlic Butter (for drizzling)
3 tbsp melted butter
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp lemon juice

- Roast the Asparagus
Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).
Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Roast 10β12 minutes until tender.
- Cook the Steak
Pat steak dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a cast-iron pan over high heat.
Sear 2β3 minutes per side.
Add 1 tbsp butter and baste until done (125Β°F medium-rare).
Rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
- Make the Garlic Butter Shrimp
Add butter + olive oil to the same pan.
Add garlic and sautΓ© 30 seconds.
Add shrimp, salt, pepper, and cook 1β2 minutes per side.
Add lemon juice and parsley, toss to coat.
- Build the Plate
Arrange steak slices on one side.
Place roasted asparagus in the middle.
Add garlic shrimp on the other side.
Drizzle herb garlic butter over steak and shrimp.
