Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (approximately 1.5 cm thick)
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of fresh herbs (such as parsley, rosemary, or thyme), chopped
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
✅Instructions:
- Prepare the chops: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Make sure they are well coated on both sides.
- Marinate: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh herbs. Place the chops in a container and pour the mixture over them. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (you can leave them for up to 2 hours for better flavor).
- Heat the pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure it is very hot before adding the chops.
- To cook the chops: Remove the chops from the marinade and place them in the hot pan. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 63°C).
- Resting: Once cooked, remove the chops from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute and keep the meat juicy.
- Serving: Serve the pork chops on a plate, garnished with a little more fresh herbs if desired. Accompany them with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
Additional tips: For extra flavor, you can add a little smoked paprika to the marinade. You can also serve the chops with lemon wedges for a refreshing touch.
