Fresh Tomato & Burrata Caprese Plate

Creamy burrata, juicy ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil — the perfect quick appetizer or light meal.

Ingredients

For the Caprese Plate

1 ball burrata cheese

2–3 ripe tomatoes, sliced

A handful of fresh basil, chopped or torn

2–3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Salt (preferably flaky sea salt)

Freshly cracked black pepper

Directions

Prepare the Tomatoes

Slice tomatoes evenly and arrange them on a plate.

Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

Add the Burrata

Place the burrata ball in the center.

Gently tear it open so the creamy center spreads slightly.

Garnish

Sprinkle basil generously over the top.

Drizzle olive oil over both the tomatoes and burrata.

Add more cracked black pepper if desired.

Serve

Enjoy immediately with toasted bread or as a fresh side dish.
