1 lb beef strips (sirloin or flank steak)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow/orange bell pepper, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 large carrot, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
For the Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin for sweeter flavor)
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1/4 cup water
Directions
- Mix the Sauce
Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, water, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the Beef
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.
Sear beef strips for 3–4 minutes until browned but still tender.
Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add peppers, carrots, onions, and broccoli.
Stir-fry 4–5 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Combine Everything
Return the beef to the pan.
Pour in the sauce.
Stir and simmer until thickened and glossy (2–3 minutes).
- Serve
Serve hot over white rice, brown rice, noodles, or even cauliflower rice.
