Ingredients
For the Chicken
1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1–2 tsp Cajun seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Pasta
8 oz penne pasta
Water + salt for boiling
For the Creamy Cajun Sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
Salt & pepper
Veggies
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1/2 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
👩🍳 Directions
- Cook the Pasta
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Add penne and cook until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken
Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken 5–6 minutes until golden and done.
Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the Peppers
In the same skillet, add a little oil if needed.
Sauté the peppers for 3–4 minutes until soft but vibrant.
Remove and keep aside.
- Make the Cream Sauce
Melt butter in the skillet.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add parmesan, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt & pepper.
Stir until smooth and thick.
- Combine
Add cooked pasta, chicken, and peppers back into the sauce.
Toss until everything is creamy and coated.
Serve hot!
