Sugar Donuts Filled With Vanilla Cream & Berry Jam

Soft, warm, fluffy donuts rolled in sugar… filled generously with silky vanilla cream and topped with a sweet-tart berry jam. These little beauties disappear faster than you can make them!

Ingredients

For the Donuts:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Extra sugar for coating

Vanilla Cream Filling:

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mascarpone or cream cheese (optional for extra thickness)

Berry Jam Topping:

  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp water Directions
  1. Make the Donut Dough
    Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
    Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead 5–8 minutes until smooth.
    Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
  2. Shape & Fry
    Roll dough to medium thickness, cut into small rounds, and let rise 20 minutes.
    Heat oil (not too hot!). Fry donuts until golden on both sides.
    Roll warm donuts in sugar.
  3. Prepare the Vanilla Cream
    Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until thick.
    Fold in mascarpone if using.
  4. Berry Jam
    Cook berries, sugar, lemon, and water on low heat for 5–7 minutes until it thickens. Let cool.
  5. Assemble
    Pipe vanilla cream into each donut.
    Spoon berry jam on top.
    Serve warm, soft, and absolutely irresistible
