250 g pasta (any shape — penne, spaghetti, fusilli, etc.)

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

1 cup cooked shredded chicken OR sautéed mushrooms (optional add-in)

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Preparation — Step by Step

1️⃣ Cook the pasta

Boil water with a pinch of salt.

Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
