Ingredients
For the Potato Bites
250 g potatoes
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground pepper
25 g chopped carrots
25 g chopped celery
1 tbsp cooking oil
30 g mozzarella cheese
50 g cornstarch
Cheese Sauce
20 g butter
1/2 tbsp wheat flour
150 ml milk
70 g cheddar cheese
1/2 tbsp spicy sauce
Directions
Prepare the Potato Bites
Boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them in a bowl while still warm.
Add salt, garlic powder, ground pepper, chopped carrots and celery, and mix well.
Add mozzarella cheese and cornstarch, then combine until a soft dough forms.
Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls or discs.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry the potato bites over medium heat until crispy and golden on all sides.
You can also air-fry or bake them if you prefer a lighter version.
Make the Cheese Sauce
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add flour and whisk for 20–30 seconds to remove the raw taste.
Slowly pour in the milk, stirring continuously until smooth and creamy.
Add cheddar cheese and stir until fully melted.
Mix in the spicy sauce and remove from the heat.
