
Ingredients
For the Cod:
• 500g fresh cod fillets, cut into strips
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• ½ tsp paprika
• ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Cilantro Lime Sauce:
• ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
• 1 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 small garlic clove, minced
• 1 tbsp lime juice (plus zest of ½ lime)
• 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
• Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce:
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lime juice, zest, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
Chill in the fridge while you cook the fish. - Cook the Cod:
• Pat the cod dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
• In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
• Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
• Add the cod strips and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
• Squeeze fresh lemon juice over them before removing from heat. - Serve:
Arrange the crispy, buttery cod strips on a plate and drizzle (or serve on the side) with the cilantro lime sauce.
