How To Prepare Deep-Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • Ingredients required for brownie mix (usually oil, water, and eggs)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch deep dish pie pan.
  2. Make the cookie dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and salt mixture) until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Press the cookie dough into the prepared pie pan, creating an even layer at the bottom.
  6. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
  7. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough layer in the pie pan.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few crumbs.
  9. Let the pie cool completely before slicing and serving.
