I taught all my friends how to make this easy and delicious appetizer — and now it’s their favorite go-to recipe! Crispy, golden puff pastry filled with gooey cheese and a touch of mustard makes the perfect party bite or quick snack. Ready in minutes and gone even faster!
Ingredients
2 sheets (400 g each) puff pastry
3–4 teaspoons mustard (Dijon or yellow)
150 g hard mozzarella cheese, grated or sliced
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare the Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
Add Mustard:
Spread a thin layer of mustard evenly over one sheet of pastry.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle or lay the mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the mustard layer.
Cover and Seal:
Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top. Press lightly around the edges to seal.
Cut and Shape:
Cut the pastry into strips or squares. You can twist the strips for a fun look or leave them flat.
Bake:
Arrange the pieces on the prepared tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
Serve:
Let cool slightly and serve warm — they’re irresistibly crispy and cheesy!
Serving Tip:
Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or as a quick snack with tea or coffee. Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds or herbs on top for extra flavor!
