How to prepare Keto Ham and Cheese Chaffle Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 large egg

½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

1 tbsp almond flour

½ tsp baking powder

2 slices deli ham

1 slice cheddar or American cheese

Butter for greasing (optional)


Instructions:

Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease with butter or non-stick spray.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, almond flour, baking powder, and shredded cheese until well mixed.

Pour half the mixture into the waffle maker and cook until golden and firm (about 3–4 minutes).

Repeat with the remaining batter to make two chaffles.

Place ham and cheese slice between the two chaffles while still warm.

Return the sandwich to the waffle maker for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese, or heat in a skillet until golden.

Optional:

Add a bit of mustard or mayo for extra flavor.

Use Swiss cheese and ham for a keto-style “Monte Cristo” twist.
