Slow-Cooked Pulled Beef in Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

3 lbs beef chuck roast

1 large onion, sliced

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)

1/2 cup beef broth

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Buns or rolls (for serving, optional)

Directions:

Prepare slow cooker: Place sliced onions at the bottom.

Season the beef: Rub roast with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Place on top of onions.

Mix sauce: In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and Worcestershire (if using). Pour over beef.

Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on low for 8–9 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until beef is fork-tender.

Shred beef: Remove roast, shred with two forks, and return meat to the slow cooker. Stir well to coat in sauce.

Serve hot: Enjoy on buns as sandwiches or with mashed potatoes, rice, or coleslaw.
