Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling (or fresh/frozen strawberries with sugar)

8 oz cream cheese, cut into small cubes

1 box yellow or white cake mix (dry)

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, sliced thin

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Optional: whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer ingredients:

Spread strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared pan.

Dot cream cheese cubes evenly over the strawberries.

Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top.

Arrange butter slices evenly over the cake mix.

  1. Bake:
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is bubbly around the edges.
  2. Cool slightly:
Let the cake cool 10–15 minutes before serving so the layers set slightly.
  3. Serve:
Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Tips

For extra cheesecake flavor, swirl the cream cheese slightly into the strawberries before adding cake mix.

You can substitute fresh strawberries, chopped and sweetened with 1–2 tablespoons sugar.

Add white chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers on top before baking for extra texture.
