Ingredients:
For the Crust (Fathead-style base):
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons cream cheese
¾ cup almond flour
1 egg
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
For the Topping:
½ pound ground beef (or sausage)
½ cup sugar-free marinara sauce (Rao’s or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup shredded cheddar (optional for flavor)
Salt, pepper, and Italian herbs to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven:
Set to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet or dish with parchment paper.
Make the crust:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt mozzarella and cream cheese together for 1 minute.
Stir well, then microwave another 30 seconds if needed until smooth.
Add almond flour, egg, and seasonings. Mix into a dough.
Spread onto the baking sheet into a rectangle or circle (about ¼ inch thick).
Bake 8–10 minutes, until golden brown.
Prepare the beef topping:
While the crust bakes, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
Drain excess grease, then stir in sugar-free marinara sauce.
Assemble:
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the baked crust.
Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Bake again:
Return to the oven for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cool & serve:
Let it rest 5 minutes before slicing. Sprinkle with extra Italian seasoning if desired.
Optional Add-Ons:
Add pepperoni, mushrooms, or jalapeños for a pizza twist.
Drizzle sugar-free ranch or garlic butter on top before serving.
Swap beef for ground chicken, turkey, or sausage.
Tips:
Want a crispier crust? Flip the crust halfway through baking before adding toppings.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days — reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
