Net Carbs: ~4g per serving

Ingredients

For the Salisbury Steaks:

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (instead of breadcrumbs)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (check for sugar-free)

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon butter (for frying)

For the Keto Gravy:

2 tablespoons butter

½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional but classic)

½ cup beef broth (or bone broth)

¼ cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon xanthan gum (for thickening)

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Side Vegetables:

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup sliced zucchini

1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Instructions

1. Make the Salisbury Steaks

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, Parmesan, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.

Form into 4 oval-shaped patties.

Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

2. Make the Keto Gravy

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms (if using) for 3–4 minutes until tender.

Add beef broth and Dijon mustard; stir and bring to a simmer.

Pour in heavy cream.

Whisk in xanthan gum a little at a time to thicken the sauce.

Return the cooked steaks to the pan and simmer 5 minutes, spooning gravy over the top.

3. Cook the Vegetables

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil or butter.

Add zucchini and broccoli, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Sauté for 5–7 minutes, until tender-crisp.

4. Serve

Plate the Salisbury steak, pour rich mushroom gravy on top, and serve with sautéed zucchini and broccoli.

Tips

Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.

Add a splash of red wine or coconut aminos for extra depth in the gravy.

Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days — reheat gently on the stove.
