Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
½ cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup (60 ml) maple syrup or agave nectar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings: fresh berries, shaved dark chocolate, crushed nuts, mint leaves
Instructions:
Blend the Mousse:
In a food processor or blender, combine avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
Adjust Sweetness & Texture:
Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. For a lighter texture, you can add 1–2 tablespoons of almond or oat milk.
Chill:
Spoon the mousse into serving cups or ramekins. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to set and chill.
Serve:
Top with fresh berries, shaved chocolate, crushed nuts, or mint leaves before serving.
Tips:
- Use very ripe avocados for the creamiest texture.
- For a richer chocolate flavor, add 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder.
