Description:
This Herb Butter Beef Tenderloin Roast is tender, juicy, and packed with rich, savory flavor. The buttery garlic and fresh rosemary create a fragrant crust that locks in moisture and enhances the natural taste of the beef. Perfect for holidays, special dinners, or when you simply want a restaurant-quality meal at home. Every slice is melt-in-your-mouth delicious with a beautifully golden herb crust on the outside and perfectly cooked, tender beef inside.
Ingredients:
2–3 lb beef tenderloin roast
4 tablespoons butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation Method:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the herb butter:
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme (if using), salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Prepare the beef:
Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub it lightly with olive oil.
Season and coat:
Spread the herb butter mixture evenly over the entire roast, pressing gently so it sticks to the meat.
Roast:
Place the tenderloin on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast for about 25–35 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness:
125°F (52°C) for rare
135°F (57°C) for medium-rare
145°F (63°C) for medium
Rest:
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This keeps the juices inside the meat.
Slice & Serve:
Slice into thick medallions and serve warm with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
If you’d like, I can also give you a creamy mushroom sauce to serve on top — it takes this roast to the next level
