Made with simple ingredients and no added sugar, it delivers deep chocolate flavor with a smooth texture that pours beautifully over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or stirred into coffee and milk. It’s quick to make, low in carbs, and stores well in the refrigerator for whenever your chocolate cravings hit.
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup water
½–¾ cup sugar-free sweetener (such as erythritol, monk fruit, or stevia blend)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
½ teaspoon xanthan gum (optional, for thicker syrup)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder, sweetener, and salt.
Gradually add the water while whisking to prevent lumps.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring continuously.
Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
If you prefer a thicker syrup, sprinkle in the xanthan gum while whisking constantly to avoid clumping.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Allow the syrup to cool completely—it will thicken more as it cools.
Transfer to a clean jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Enjoy drizzled over desserts, mixed into smoothies, or added to your morning coffee for a delicious sugar-free chocolate boo
