Ingredients:
2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury crescent rolls
2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Preparation:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Making the Filling:
In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Assembling the Bars:
Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust. Press the seams together to seal.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.
Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and carefully place it over the cream cheese layer, again pressing the seams together.
Adding the Topping:
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
Pour the melted butter over the top layer of crescent rolls and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Baking:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sugar is caramelized.
Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan.
Serving:
Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. These bars are delicious on their own or with a dollop of whipped cream.
