Tender chicken breasts are pan-seared until golden, then finished in a silky lemon butter sauce with capers for the perfect balance of tangy, savory, and rich. It’s a restaurant-quality meal that comes together quickly, making it ideal for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
½ cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup chicken broth
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons capers, drained

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Lightly dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.

In the same pan, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
