Cola & BBQ Slow-Cooked Ribs (Fall-Off-The-Bone!)

If you’re craving ribs so tender the meat practically slips off the bone, this easy cola and BBQ sauce method is pure magic. Slow-cooked until irresistibly juicy, these ribs are sweet, smoky, and unbelievably soft—perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients:
1–1.5 kg (2–3 lb) pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 cup cola (regular, not diet)
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
1 onion, sliced (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tsp paprika (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions:
Prepare the ribs:
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if needed. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Layer the pot:
Place sliced onions at the bottom of a slow cooker or heavy pot. Add the ribs on top, cutting them into sections if necessary to fit.
Add the sauce:
Pour the cola over the ribs, then coat them generously with BBQ sauce. Add minced garlic if using.
Cook low and slow:
Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until the ribs are extremely tender and the bones slide out easily.
Optional finishing step:
For caramelized edges, transfer the ribs to a baking tray, brush with extra BBQ sauce, and broil or bake at 220°C (425°F) for 8–10 minutes.
Serve:
Let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with extra sauce, coleslaw, or fries.
Result:
Sticky, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth ribs with bones so clean you’ll swear they were polished!
