Ingredients:
Cleaned and washed chicken livers
1 onion, sliced
Green pepper (optional), sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Ground cumin
Paprika
Juice of 1 lemon
Oil or ghee (butter)
Preparation Method:
Heat the oil or ghee in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and lightly golden.
Add the minced garlic and stir quickly until fragrant.
Add the chicken livers and sauté over high heat, stirring, until they change color and are cooked through.
Season with salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika. Mix well so the livers are evenly coated with spices.
Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over the pan, give it a quick stir, then turn off the heat.
Serve hot with fresh flatbread or crusty bread
