Looking for a warm, comforting dinner that brings everyone to the table? This Cheesy Beef Cannelloni Bake is the ultimate cozy oven dish. Tender cannelloni tubes are filled with a rich, savory beef mixture, then baked under a generous layer of sauce and melted cheese until bubbly and golden. It’s hearty, family-friendly, and perfect for a relaxed night in.
Ingredients:
Cannelloni pasta tubes
Ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
Tomato sauce or marinara sauce
Olive oil
Salt and black pepper
Italian seasoning or dried oregano
Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Parmesan cheese, grated
Fresh parsley or basil (optional, for garnish)
Preparation Method:
Prepare the filling:
Heat a little olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cook the beef:
Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir in a few spoonfuls of tomato sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Fill the cannelloni:
Carefully stuff the uncooked cannelloni tubes with the beef mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
Assemble the dish:
Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the filled cannelloni in a single layer. Pour more sauce over the top, making sure all pasta is well covered.
Add cheese:
Sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake:
Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Serve:
Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
Perfect with a simple green salad or garlic bread for a complete, comforting meal.
