This Everything Bagel Cottage Cheese Flatbread is a healthy, high-protein alternative to traditional bread. It’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with savory everything bagel flavor. Perfect for breakfast, sandwiches, or as a nutritious snack, these flatbreads are easy to make and incredibly filling.
Ingredients (Makes about 4 flatbreads)
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 large egg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
Prepare the dough:
In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, egg, and olive oil until well combined. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Shape the flatbreads:
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. On a lightly floured surface, flatten each portion into a thin round or oval flatbread.
Season:
Sprinkle the tops evenly with everything bagel seasoning and gently press it into the dough.
Cook:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Serve:
Let cool slightly, then serve warm. Enjoy plain, with cream cheese, avocado, eggs, or use as sandwich bread.
