Ingredients:
2 fish slices (like kingfish, surmai, or salmon)
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
1–2 tbsp rice flour or semolina (for crispy texture)
2 tbsp oil (for shallow frying)
Method:
- Clean and pat dry the fish slices.
- In a bowl, mix all the spices with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt to form a thick paste.
- Apply this masala generously on both sides of the fish. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Optionally, coat the fish lightly with rice flour or semolina for extra crispiness.
- Heat oil in a pan. Place the fish slices and shallow-fry on medium heat.
- Flip once golden and crisp. Cook the other side until done.
- Drain on kitchen paper. Serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
