This simple make-ahead recipe is a true lifesaver for New Year celebrations. With only four basic ingredients, it delivers big flavor with almost no effort. I always prepare it ahead of time so I can enjoy the holiday stress-free while still serving something everyone loves. It’s comforting, crowd-pleasing, and practically impossible to mess up!
Ingredients (4 Only!)
1 lb (450 g) sausage (pork or beef)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 ½ cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
2 tbsp milk (optional, for softer texture)
Preparation Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, combine the raw sausage, shredded cheese, and baking mix.
Add the milk if needed and mix until a thick, uniform dough forms.
Roll the mixture into small bite-size balls.
Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Make-Ahead Tip
You can prepare and roll the balls in advance, then refrigerate for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to 1 month. Bake directly from the fridge or freezer (add a few extra minutes if frozen).
Perfect for New Year’s Eve, holiday parties, or game nights—minimal prep, maximum flavor!
