Baked Chicken Mozzarella


Ingredients:

2 lbs chicken breasts, thinly sliced

2 tsp garlic & crushed peppercorn

2 tsp Italian seasoning

1 (28 oz) jar spaghetti or marinara sauce (low sugar is best)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.

Lay the chicken evenly in the bottom of the dish.

Season the chicken with half of the garlic, peppercorn, and Italian seasoning.

Spread the sauce over the chicken, covering it completely.

Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle the remaining seasonings over the top.

Bake for 20 minutes, adjusting 2–4 minutes depending on thickness, until the chicken reaches 165°F.

Serve over spaghetti squash or zoodles for a perfect low-carb meal
