RECIPE:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
STEP 1: Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and black pepper. Set aside while preparing the sauce.
STEP 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
STEP 3: Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 2–3 minutes on the first side until pink on the edges. Flip shrimp and cook another 2–3 minutes until fully opaque.
STEP 4: Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss shrimp to coat evenly in the lemon-butter sauce.
STEP 5: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
