Description:

Jarred Banana Bread is a fun and creative twist on classic banana bread, baked directly in glass jars for perfectly portioned treats. It’s incredibly moist, rich with banana flavor, and ideal for gifting, storing, or serving at gatherings. These cute jars seal in freshness and make banana bread easy to transport and enjoy anytime.

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup milk or sour cream
Chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease oven-safe glass jars (about 250 ml / 8 oz each) and place them on a baking tray.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk or sour cream. Mix until just combined.

Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
Fill the jars halfway with batter to allow room for rising.

Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Carefully remove from the oven and let cool.

Seal with lids once slightly warm if gifting.

Tips:
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
Perfect for holidays, bake sales, or edible gifts.

Store sealed jars at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
